We promote good governance in ESG matters, advance education and research in sustainability practice and reporting, and build professional capacity through training and mentorship. We help organisations collect, govern, and disclose high-quality non-financial data – the foundation for credible sustainability performance and access to green and climate-linked finance.

Who We Are

ESG Association Namibia operates as a professional association with a mandate that extends across three interconnected functions: providing guidance on sustainability reporting and materiality determination; advocating for sound ESG policy and representing sustainability practitioners in public affairs; and building professional capacity through education and training.


Rising disclosure expectations call for stronger processes, and many organisations in Namibia need to make further investments in the collection, management, use, and disclosure of non-financial data. At the same time, organisations that can demonstrate credible ESG performance are better positioned to access green and climate-linked financial instruments. ESG Association Namibia exists to help practitioners and organisations meet both challenges – through the promotion of good governance, professional standards, practical education, and advocacy

Our Services

A Voice for Sustainable Business

We work with organisations, sector by sector, to develop standards and practices that reflect both international best practice and the Namibian context. As members and industry partners bring their sector's expertise and mandate to the Association, we help translate global ESG frameworks into clear, credible criteria for responsible operations,  grounded in local regulatory and market realities.

Reporting and Disclosure Guidance

Members receive guidance on aligning their non-financial reporting with their most material impacts and relevant disclosure obligations, including the ISSB standards (IFRS S1 and S2), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), NamCode, King V, and emerging frameworks such as the TNFD and TISFD. Through the Association, we support members in strengthening the data governance foundations that underpin credible reporting.

Training Programmes

Through the Association directly, we offer introductory workshops covering ESG fundamentals, data governance essentials, sustainability reporting principles, and the Namibian regulatory context.
